1.Gozo Day Trip Including Ggantija Temples

★★★★★★★★★★4.2 · 2,399 reviews · 9 hours · from $92Our pick

Spend nine hours exploring Gozo with a guide such as John Paul, Chantelle, Altea, or Rita. Visit the 5,000-year-old Ggantija Temples, walk through Victoria’s Citadel, pause at Xlendi Bay, and see Dwejra’s Inland Sea. Hotel pickup, transport, ferry tickets, entry fees, lunch, and wine are included. The optional cave boat costs about €6.

“The trip was great and our guide was excellent. There was a fair bit of walking but people of all ages (including those with walking sticks) were able to make it through the day. I would say the only things that could be improved was that the size of the group was very large (approx. 30 people) and because of that, the guide spent a lot of time having to wait for people and gather people around. I felt like this took valuable time out of us being able to see everything in detail and take pictures etc. I do think the trip was worth the money and would recommend…”

“It was excellent! I really enjoyed myself and got to see so many different things. The trip was pretty complete (except for the Ggantija temples), but I was able to stay on the island after the trip using the same ferry ticket. The guide was incredibly informed and I loved learning about everything the island has to offer. The boat trip was spectacular and something I would have never thought of doing without this opportunity. Highly recommend.”

“An early start and a journey across Malta to catch the Gozo Ferry passing Popeye Village. Once on Gozo our first stop was the hidden sea of Dwejra. Beautiful clear waters and a short boat trip (€5). What a fabulous spot to start the tour. Our next stop was Victoria and the Citadel atop the hill. Breathtaking views out across the landscape and many visitor attractions including WW2 shelters; Guardhouse; St. Joseph Chapel and many more. We would have liked more time to explore Victoria. A short journey to the most disappointing part of the tour - lunch. Food was OK but the service and environment was like trying to…”

“Difficult to review this activity, the guide was knowledgeable and friendly and think you definitely see more of the south of Malta in a day However activity time includes 2 hours of coach/mini bus picks up and merging of people on to different tours. Whilst efficiently done big chunk of time. On the day I did this activity there were multiple coaches doing the tour from the same operator, this meant creating our own queues as coaches arrived at venues at same time. This resulting in very time to see anything because of leaving before the next coach arrives or getting in front of it. ne”

“First, Ghar Dalam (Cave of Darkness) with animal bones from 10,0000 years ago both mounted in display cases and still in the ground, and with evidence , at a later level, of the earliest human settlers from c. 5,000BC. Fascinating backgound theory as to the huge changes in the level of the Mediterranean Sea and its resulting coastline caused by climate change from before and during the last ice age. Then, the 5,500 year old monolithic temples of Hagar Qim (Monolithic Devotion) and Manajdra (Calendar) just two of the many on the islands predating the Pyramids of Giza and Stonehenge. Mark was an excellent and knowledgeable guide pacing the tour…”
